Do I need planning permission for an extension in Durham or Sunderland?

Not always. Many single-storey extensions fall under permitted development. We assess this at the free site visit, and where planning is needed we handle the application, drawings and building control liaison as part of the job.

How long does a home extension take?

A typical single-storey extension runs eight to twelve weeks on site depending on size and specification. You get a written programme before we start and a named Contracts Manager keeping it on track with daily site visits.

How much does an extension cost in the North East?

It depends on size, specification and ground conditions, which is why we don't guess. We visit, measure, and come back with a fixed written quote in plain English. Free site visits, no call-out charge.

Do you handle the design and building regulations?

Yes. Design, structural calculations, planning where needed, building control sign-off and completion certificates. One firm, one point of contact, start to finish.

Will I need to move out during a loft conversion or refurb?

Usually not. Most loft conversions are built from outside via scaffold until the final connection. For full refurbs we phase the work room by room where the property is occupied.
